For the first time in a MINUTE I’ve taken a small step back. I’ve unfortunately had to decline a couple of projects so that I can complete the manuscripts in my inbox, and let it just remain empty for a minute. SO, with that being said, I’ve had almost a week now of an editing break and I’ve had a chance to get some reading for fun in, and this is what I have to share with you… drumroll please…
Overdose - Nova Kane (AVAILABLE NOW! RELEASE DATE - August 14th 2025)
I ARC read this book, and it was officially my first Nova Kane book. I had a BLAST. It’s a rave romance, why choose (MFM), Touch her and die, with a non conventional HEA. In a nutshell. Before anything else… the end through me into a tailspin. An absolute spiral. Like WHAT DO YOU MEAAAANNN!?!?!?!?!?! But now that that’s out of the way. This book was spicy, it was drama-filled, it was wild, and it was sweet. But I guess that kind of chaos is expected when the MCs are a rave-girl, a drug dealer, and a rave DJ. Need I say more? I think not. I devoured this novella. And I hope we get a little more of these sweet (maybe not the right word) babies!
Loverboy - Ab.Cynthe (AVAILABLE NOW! RELEASE DATE - August 14th 2025)
I ARC read this book as well, and it was so fun. It’s an 80s style rockstar romance, MM (mostly), with drugs, rock and roll, and murder. That sums up the vibe. I don’t even have the words, because as usual, she rocked it. I was hooked from beginning to end, and was taken on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Our rockstar is having a bit of an identity crisis, I guess you could say, and follows a pretty unconventional path to his own sort of HEA. I was absolutely in my feels for a good chunk of this book, and kicking my feet, before I’d remember that someone may or may not have been unalived. Oopsie! But it was truly an amazing read, and the cover? GAH DAYUM.
Saving the Rain - Elliott Rose - AVAILABLE NOW! (RELEASE DATE- August 26th 2025)
I just finished the ARC of this book, and LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING, it is def one of my favourites in the series. And that’s suucchhh a hard thing to say, because the whole thing has been absolutely incredible! This is an MM, step-brother, “we shouldn’t”, gay awakening, cowboy romance and is part of the Crimson Ridge series. It was so sweet and gentle, but also angsty and intense, and I just absolutely adored it! But what’s new there? Everything Elliott writes is GOLD, baby… GOLD!
Between Soul and Vessel - Jaclyn Kot - RELEASE DATE - September 23rd 2025
I was a BETA reader and a proofreader for this book this book, so I’ve already had the pleasure of reading it (twice) and it will live in my soul forever. If you don’t know mine and Jac’s story, here’s a quick recap before I tell you about the book: I just started booksta and had like… 30 followers, and one fateful day while scrolling, I came across a video looking for ARC readers for this author’s debut. I looked into and applied, not expecting to be accepted because… who even was I? And I was accepted! From that day I’ve been Jac’s leech, and have forced her to put up with me :) And here we are! She pushed me to follow my editor dreams, and now I get the privilege of having my name on (and in wink her projects!)
NOW the book. Omg, my soul… literally. This book was phenomenal. It’s book 3 in the series, but is the 4th one released (there’s a 2.5), so you’ll have to read the first three, but this book has my heart. It gives us so much more insight into our lovers’ past, while moving the current story along at the same time. It broke my heart, it made me laugh, it really had me feeling all of the emotions. I will treasure this series forever.
